The Evangelical Church in Batoș is undergoing restoration and repurposing interventions, aiming to integrate it both into a cultural tourism circuit and to enable its use by the local community.

The works include landscape design, interventions on the church walls, flooring and furniture, revision of the church roof’s pitch, and the transformation of the bell tower into an exhibition space.

According to Hermann Fabini, the Gothic church was built in the 14th century; however, in the absence of written sources, the exact year construction began remains unknown. Based on the information already mentioned, it is likely that in the early part of the century a smaller church existed in the village, and that the Gothic phases of the current church were constructed beginning in the latter half of the century. Based on the architectural details of the sanctuary - this section was most likely built in the decades around the mid-14th century. During the interventions that began in 1781, the church naves underwent a major transformation, being rebuilt in the Baroque style with Rococo decorative elements. The southern portico, due to its different proportions and pointed arch opening, appears to be a later construction phase, likely dating from the mid-19th century.
